Custom Orders

Every order I take from the farmers market or online is made the same way — small batch, real ingredients, made by hand. Custom orders work the same way. The difference is we're building something specifically for you.

Whether you need candy for a corporate event, wedding favors, a private party, or something entirely off-menu, reach out. If I can make it, I will.

What I Can Make

Custom orders are available across everything in the Süss Candy lineup — chews, caramels, hard candy, lollipops, and freeze dried candy. I can work with your flavor preferences, color palette, and packaging needs.

Lately I've been doing some really fun custom work. Funky's Hot Sauce had me make several batches of lollipops and hard candy, each one mixed with a different hot sauce flavor from their lineup. That sweet-heat combination is something else. I also made a batch of Lemon Honey Lollipops for Marie's Bees, a local honey producer. On the caramel side, I took a custom order with warming spices and it turned into what I'm now calling a Dirty Chai Caramel. Customers said it tasted like "a little bite of Christmas," and honestly, I'd have to agree. I also made a small batch of Cayenne Apple Chews for an individual customer who wanted that same kind of heat-meets-fruit thing. Custom orders are some of my favorite work to take on. If you have something specific in mind that isn't on the website, let's talk — custom recipes do come at a premium over standard production due to ingredient sourcing, recipe development, and testing.

Pricing & Minimums

Custom orders start at $500. That minimum exists because custom work takes more time than a standard order. I'm adjusting recipes, sourcing specific ingredients, and often running smaller test batches before the final production run. Custom orders are priced about 20% above my standard retail rates to reflect that.

To give you a sense of what $500 looks like in practice, here are some rough estimates for single-flavor orders:

  • Chews: approximately 28 bags
  • Caramels: approximately 23 bags
  • Hard candy: approximately 42 bags
  • Freeze dried candy: approximately 35 bags

These are estimates. Final pricing is always confirmed before you commit to anything.

Lollipop pricing varies more than the other products, so I work through that on a per-order basis. If you're requesting a flavor or recipe I don't currently make, pricing depends on how much development is involved. We'll talk through that before anything is finalized.

Turnaround time is determined per order. Size, complexity, and my current production schedule all factor in. I'll give you a realistic timeline when we discuss your order, not a guess.
