Sour Cherry Chews

Cherry and sour is a combination that just works. The citric acid / sugar coating sharpens the flavor and gives it more edge. I use cherry flavoring from Natures Flavors, botanical-based, which keeps it in real-fruit territory rather than medicinal.

The base is organic unsalted butter, glucose syrup, and pure granulated cane sugar. Color comes from beet and red radish, giving them a deep warm red. Each 80g resealable bag has 10 to 11 individually wrapped chews.

If you want the original without the sour coating, the Cherry Chews are the softer, sweeter version of the same recipe.

Keep at room temperature away from heat. Refrigerating them will extend freshness.
